:usul suggested to file a bug on IRC about this. AFAIK, for all LDAP accounts we requested lately, people never received the email with info to reset the password. See bug 972472, bug 947682, bug 952279, and at this point I suspect bug 950387 as well. Not sure if that's a manual or automatic process, but there's something not working in the chain.
Adding bug 975709 to the list of missing mails.
I think this is fixed now. There was some confusion in the UI in our account creation tool that didn't make it clear that an extra step needed to be taken to get the e-mail sent out. We've adjusted the UI to make that clear.
