Details

(Whiteboard: application complete - accepted)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/33.0.1750.146 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Per directions on the Mozilla wiki (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Plugins/Firefox_Whitelist) and a recent blog post (https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/02/28/update-on-plugin-activation/), Unity would like to extend the window in which the Unity Web Player remains on Firefox's plugin whitelist.

Actual results:

Unity is developing new technology to migrate away from the use of NPAPI; the details for this are under NDA. However, we have been working closely with Mozilla on our forward-looking solution. The details are available from Martin Best.

Please do a QA pass using a new Firefox profile to ensure that the plugin activates without a popup and appears as "Always Activate" in the addon manager. Report back in this bug when QA is complete. Please try to complete QA by the end of this week.
