Unable to download MMS attachment when Auto-Retrieve is off and manually download it, and default data connection is not set to that mms receiver SIM

1. Go to Settings > SIM manager, set SIM 1 as primary outgoing data.
2. Go to Settings > Message settings, disable Auto retrieve on SIM 2.
3. Send MMS to SIM 2.
4. MMS will be received but attachment is not downloaded.
5. Open the received MMS.
6. A download button is displayed.
7. Press the download button.
8. A warning message indicating that switching data call is required shows.
9. Confirm data call switching.

The progress spinning for minutes, connection not active, attachment not downloaded.

Eric, do you have Wi-Fi enabled, and can you try without it?

Could be related to Bug 976897... What do you think Bevis?

Hi Eric,

Would you please help to clarify if the symptom is the same to Bug 976897? (Where WiFi is ON before MMS transaction is ongoing?)
If no, would you please help to follow the step in comment 26 & coment 28 to get the adb logcat and tcpdump for further analysis.
In addition, please make sure correct options of adb is used:
"adb logcat -v threadtime"

Original case is Wifi on but offline(On but not connected to any ap)
I try again with Wifi off, and got the same result, there are logcat but tcpdump result is empty.

actually, I think it's my fault :)
There is a patch in bug 981711.
