Details

This strange behaviour is best seen just going to the page http://www.ilsole24ore.com/ and mousing over them. Some of the multipline links tend to "tear apart" and the lower part goes down a line, leaving blank in between. The result is esthetically unpleasant. I am using now Mozilla 0.9.3+ (Build 2001083108) for linux (I am on a i686 runnung SuSE 6.2), but I have seen the bug in all recent builds (from 0.9.2, all nightly bulds, NS 6.1). I picked the component XML (I think that page uses XML)
Happens on WinNT too (build 2001083103). OS -> All
OS: Linux → All
confirmed winNT build:2001083103 Tried to make a simplified test case. However, when I save the entire page (with save complete webpage through IE5) or if I create a page containing only the top menu, I can't seem to reproduce it. I'll give it another try, but it certainly seems odd.
All they've done is stick "XMLNS: IE" into <html>. Sending to layout...

Confirming, seeing on Win2k. Mouse over the 2-line links in the toolbar - really funky effects. Since it does not happen with local copy I suspect it is because of the external CSS and/or JS that the page loads.
