Menus opening from the actual bookmarks toolbar (not through the panel) use OS styling. This seems inconsistent with the new appearance of the bookmark menu and its submenus. (To be absolutely clear. Create a folder in the bookmark toolbar and populate it with bookmarks. When the folder is opened from the toolbar it displays in OS appearance, not the new bookmark menu appearance.)
Thanks for clarifying! I believe that for now, this is OK. The menus opened from the main menu bar are also displayed with this appearance. However, we may want to change this in the future. I don't think it's a big deal for 29, however.

I understand that choices need to be made for 29. But in the longer run - IMHO, the menu toolbar is part of "old firefox". I use is less and less, and run with it hidden. I expect all it's function will migrate into the new main menu. The bookmark toolbar is part of australis. I use it all the time. In fact, I use it a lot more than the bookmark menu! So it would be lovely to have it look "new". Obviously, this is not a functional issue. But australis is about appearance ... I don't expect or need an extended discussion - I've said my piece and thanks for listening.

Why was this bug resolved as wontfix without any reasoning? This is usually not done.

Hey Marc, thanks for filing this. This is absolutely valid - right now, in Firefox, some UI elements are OS-level specific and other are Firefox-specific. It creates inconsistency of both look and behavior, and that's not awesome. This was WONTFIXD's not because you're not right (you are right!), but because we'll be replacing the whole Library with a better system that is Firefox-consistent rather than making large UI changes to the current framework.
