Are there any variations in the plugin file name, MIME types, description, or version from one release to the next?

In the most recent version of the Coupons.com Coupon Printer, we have added some new MIME type descriptions, but do not have any plans for further updates.

Are there any known security issues in current or older versions of the plugin?

No.
Chrome doesn't support NPAPI plugins.

Can't you use the same mechanism you are using for Chrome for Firefox?

Ivan, the coupons.com plugin currently installs itself into the Firefox install directory, which is not recommended practice and may not work in future versions. Please consider installing the plugin into your own directory and registering via windows registry entries as most other plugins do. Or you could deliver the plugin as a Firefox addon .xpi.

@Mike Kaply
We are pursuing a similar approach for both Firefox and Chrome (and other browsers which no longer support NPAPI).

@Benjamin Smedberg
Our efforts are focused on finishing the new Coupons.com Coupon Printer, which does not rely on the NPAPI architecture and would not have the installation directory issue. We'd propose that's a better solution than changing the installation on the current Coupons.com Coupon Printer plugin which is planned for deprecation.

Does "application complete - accepted" indicate that white list status has been granted?
Builds for testing are now available at http://people.mozilla.org/~bsmedberg/plugin-whitelisting-91f6f3380041/

Please do a QA pass using a new Firefox profile to ensure that the plugin activates without a popup and appears as "Always Activate" in the addon manager. Report back in this bug when QA is complete. Please try to complete QA by the end of this week.
