Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20010913
BuildID: 2001091303
From within Manage Bookmarks, File -> New Bookmark causes browser to crash.
The "Add Bookmark" [sic] dialog box appears but a runtime error dialog also
appears. Text is:
Runtime Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program C:\PROGRAM FILES\MOZILLA.ORG\MOZILLA\MOZILLA.EXE
R6025
-pure virtual function call
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks...
2. File -> New Bookmark (having clicked anywhere)
Actual Results: Add Bookmark dialog appears but is immediately followed by a
runtime error dialog:
Runtime Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program C:\PROGRAM FILES\MOZILLA.ORG\MOZILLA\MOZILLA.EXE
R6025
-pure virtual function call
Expected Results: No crash.
On reproducibility: it happens every time on successive tests.
However, after searching the bugzilla reports to see if it'd been
already reported I couldn't reproduce it afterwards. Rebooting
the PC and starting Mozilla afresh reproduces the problem, though.
The bug has been reported before and currently has an unconfirmed
status: #96214
