From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.8.1+) Gecko/20010425
BuildID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.8.1+) Gecko/20010425
When trying to open one of the imported IE bookmarks, I now get the following in
the addressbar, and the next thing onscreen:
Addressbar: file:///C|/WINDOWS/Favorites/Mozilla/Releases.url
On screen: [InternetShortcut]
URL=http://www.mozilla.org/
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open bookmarks
2. Goto IE Imported bookmarks
3. Try to open any of the bookmarks you might have there.
Actual Results: Actual results are funny. At least if you hate IE, you may
laugh about this :-))
But having to copy the url from offscreen into the addressbar every time is a
bit time-robbing.
Expected Results: I would expect the bookmark to open the url I asked for.
I deleted my two old Mozilla profiles, for they caused me a lot of errors. I
then deleted the last Moz version I used, rebooted, installed this version,
rebooted, made a new profile and look what I got :-))
Btw, a very old profile from Netscape 4.76 has the same problem.

Fixed in the 20010509 nightly, please verify, thanks.

The problem does not occur in the nightly builds anymore and the function now
works fine for me. I suggest closing this bug as FIXED.

a. retest with a *recent* trunk build.
b. query bugzilla to see if there's an existing, open bug (new, reopened,
assigned) that covers your issue.
c. if this does need to be reopened, make sure there are specific steps to
reproduce (unless already provided and up-to-date).
thanks!
