item for what's new

Be free, little tabbrowser, be free.
check out the 0.9.4 bug. some items have been added to it since the milestone
shipped.
add a what's new item for mozgest?
Dawm: MozGest is a noteworthy addition, but it's not currently in the trunk or
branch -- perhaps it can be integrated?

For those not aware, MozGest is a gesture-based input system for Mozilla,
spawned from bug 76537. Current version here: http://surfmind.com/mozgest/
Include:
If you have problems using the Java plugin 1.3.0 with Mozilla on the Linux 2.4
kernel, like with Red Hat 7.1, you can either:

* Update the JRE to at least version from Sun
* Set the enviornment variable: LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5

See bug 84093 for more details.

Remove:
OSX: The Plugin Downloader Plugin is now included with Netscape 6.2

27478 fixed (cannot print plugin on page)
53707 still broken on mac and linux? RFE: dragging a link onto bookmarks button
should open menu
Please include something about bug 47617:

PSM (the Personal Security Manager) is part of a default installation. If this
component is deselected, Mozilla is unable to access secure sites (such as
online banking, shopping, secure webmail). No alert appears. An indication PSM
is not installed can be if you are prompted to log in multiple times at HTTPS
sites. See bug 47617 and bug 86486 for details.

R.K.Aa was drinking turpentine. She meant to say:

maybe something about bug 33313 "support for css2/css3 system fonts"?
linux builds look *so* neat with verdana fonts.
New in this release: SOCKS proxies (both v4 and v5) can now be used with all
protocols (bug 89500), except for mailnews. Using socks with mailnews is covered
by bug 44995.
I've updated with everything listed up to this point except
peterl's comment since his comment was apparently directed at
netscape 6, not mozilla.
I think it's worth mentioning the DOCTYPE 'feature' with bug 98977 otherwise
there're going to be dozens of reports 'redhat.com is broken', 'fresmeat.net
does not render well'.
BTW, perhaps it'll motivate freshmeat and redhat webmasters switching to proper
doctype...

Another request would be to recommend JRE 1.3.1 which fixes bugs over JRE
1.30_01 and mentions that only NPOJI600.DLL is needed for Win32, not the 3 files
as pointed in 0.9.4 release notes (which btw indicates later in the document
that NPOJI600.DLL only is needed, contradictory).
