NEXT steps:
-- Aki is holding a mtg Monday morning about landing page optimization for snippet click throughs.
-- I need to pull together a quick "tips for an awesome snippet" to share.
-- Ask Jean for the CTR of last year's Maker Party snippet, to serve as a baseline.
-- We need to schedule a meeting with Jean C very soon after she returns from PTO. We need details on traffic allocation, including US-EN and Non-US EN locales and availability. This is knowledge Jean has.
-- We also should prioritize locales for this snippet -- localizing the snippet in 55+ countries is likely not practical (though we should check with Jean), so we should prioritize which locales matter most to hit Maker Party goals.

I'm going to serve as an advisor for this process.

- July 1 - July 13th: World Cup/Goal.com and also possibly Firefox OS launch in Mexico
** July 13 and after // small rotation is available for Maker Parties (30%)

August
** Open and available for Maker Parties (note: there’s slower traffic and fewer page views)

September
** Possible inventory available to the Foundation in early September, depending on Humble Bundle timing
- Firefox games Humble Bundle (this is also a fundraiser for the Foundation)

October
** Possible inventory available for EOY snippet testing (48 - 72 hr blocks)

November
** Early November: Finishing EOY testing
- Firefox 10th birthday

All looks great, only one change - "** June 12 - July 13 Possible to have 10% of traffic intermittently for testing during this period for Foundation" - testing is only available from June 1 - June 12th.

Hi all,

Just want to make sure I understand this correctly, so I can get our traffic estimates into our Maker Party dashboard. Is this the correct set of Foundation allocations between June and September?

* June 1 - June 12: 10% of traffic intermittently for testing
* July 13 - July 31: 30% of traffic
* August 1 - August 31: XX% of traffic (what is the correct % here?)
* Early September - possible additional allocation, depending on Humble Bundle

Hi Hannah,

Traffic % will stay an estimate until we are much closer, because the Firefox teams may not know all their snippet demands yet (meaning, August might be 100% for Maker Party right now, but could be 50% if Firefox has a priority need for that traffic).
