User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140421221237
Steps to reproduce:
Thunderbird-version: seen with 24.2.0 (all versions newer than 17.0.11?) - German version
OS + version: Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit
Account type (POP / IMAP): IMAP and POP
Email providers (z.B. GMX): occurs with all email providers
Automatic update of mailbox content after startup of Thunderbird or manual update later on.
Actual results:
While updating of an email account (synchonization, downloading of mailbox content) a blue progress bar is shown in the bottom line. With newer versions this bar is partly shown outside the box where it should be normally inside (see attached picture). This problem does not occur with Thunderbird 17.0.11 and just occurs with all? versions newer than 17.0.11. It was reported by different users for different 24.x.y versions in the German Thunderbird forum (http://www.thunderbird-mail.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65162).
Expected results:
The blue bar shall be inside the surrounding box.
The problem seams to be linked to the usage of the desktop design "Windows - classic" and should be reproducable in this case!
Summary: Display problem of progress bar in bottom line → Display problem of progress bar in bottom line if desktop design "Windows - classic" is used
The problem occurs with Windows 7 and Windows XP if desktop design "Windows classic" is used.

It's not fixed. Still visible but only under Classic. I can't say why this happens. Maybe a widget issue.

Yeah, this is a straight duplicate and should be fixed once that Core bug is fixed.
Not much action though, despite the "good first bug" I'd have no clue what to do there.
Any reason to keep this bug open?

Yeah, so we can find it in thunderbird land.
I've set the dependency so we can close this when the other is fixed
