It would be generally useful, if we had a way of turning on a report only version of the Windows process sandbox. This would log to the dev console (and possibly stderr) when an attempt is made to access a resource that would be blocked by the sandbox. In particular, this would be useful to addon authors, so that they can get some advanced warning of what they will need to change.
