Pin a tab on horizontal tab strip
Pinning a tab is a super convenient shortcut for desktop Firefox users. With the similar layout rolling out for Fennec on tablet, it is worthy spending time thinking about how to support this fan favorite feature. I did a quick animation for pinning a tab: http://cl.ly/image/2i083p2j2S3T This is supposed to be a fun and handy interaction. The "Pin" indicator turns as you brush your finger through the tab surface. I have also explored other gestures, for example pin-to-zoom, long-press, but they don't seem to work well with the limited horizontal space and system gesture on Android. I will keep refining animations for other pinning use cases. For example, when a tab is pinned when there is overflow. Next step: * Animation refinement * Visual design * Prototyping * Implementation
