Steps to reproduce:

Click the underline option above the composition window. Type anything in the composition space. The text will be underlined. Turn off the underline option, then hit return, the underline function is reactivated.

(The above has been happening with versions of Thunderbird I've been using the past 2 years. Windows 7, 8, and 8.1)


Actual results:

The underline function reactivates itself if return is hit after turning the underline function off.


Expected results:

The underline function should remain deactivated.

I should add that this still occurs on 45.8 on Windows 8.1
