From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.4+) Gecko/20010928 BuildID: 2001092803 Images are distorted (parts of the image are repeated linewise) when scrolling the page. This seems to occur only when scrolling rapidly and only with less than 8 bit GIF images. Other browsers work correctly. I have observed this behavior only on my office computer: -Windows 98 SE -PII-350 -ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP, latest driver (4.11.2560) running with true color Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to specified URL (http://www.fernuni-hagen.de/LGBE/test/Schottky_junctions.html) 2. Scroll page rapidly 3. Stop scrolling 4. Images with less than 8 bit color depth are distorted Actual Results: Images are distorted, parts of the image are repeated linewise Expected Results: Clear undistorted display of the images
Since I'm failing to create an attachment (bugzilla says file is empty but actually it is not) I provide a screen shot of this bug on http://www.fernuni-hagen.de/LGBE/test/screenshot.png
worksforme win98 2001101003 Reporter, could you please let us know if you are still seeing this on more recent builds? Is anyone else able to reproduce this? (This might be related to bug 101749 ...) Also reporter, just on a hunch here, would you mind trying to reproduce bug 101749 for us?? (And post your comments in that bug's area.) Thanks much.

I have updated my machine with Windows 2000. I do not see this bug anymore. I've also tried to reproduce bug 101749. Mozilla didn't crash.
Reporter, Does this mean that you -were- previously able to reproduce bug 101749??
No, I haven't tried to reproduce bug 101749. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
