Making this a 35 blocker. The real issue we want to fix in 34 is bug 1073410. In the course of fixing that bug, this one will either be easier, or be fixed entirely.

Guys, this is an old bug related to calling from the link clicker UI.
It seems the need for this goes away with Rooms (no more "connecting" or "ringback" notifications in rooms ?

RT: it seems like it would just change framing a bit, rather than going away -- which is to say that I'd expect people to still want to be able to verify that their camera is working and that their hair looks ok before joining a room.

Its still valid for Link clicker calls - until such time as link clicker calls stop completely, which will be sometime after FxOS stops generating links.

Slightly off topic, but there's also the question of what happens with the "Email link" button for failed outgoing direct calls - at the moment it'll still send a link. Obviously we might want to reconsider that at some stage (and work out how the UX would send a link).

It isn't going to be. We need to fix it for the call url side. Rooms should have the preview working fine.
