User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140715214327 Steps to reproduce: If I search for "joebar" in my messages, and there are some messages to/from the address (say) "Joe Bar <joebar@example.org>", then the search results should: - show me a button allowing me to e-mail Joe Bar - show me a button allowing me to add Joe Bar to my contacts This is bugging me on a daily basis: I search for someone's name in my e-mails, and then have to go through hoops to actually exploit the results for contacting that person.

+1, really nice idea pitrou. Pitrou, you want this for Global Search field (Ctrl+K), or Quick Filter Bar (ctrl+Shift+k), or both? Magnus, is it technically possible to have a context menu on indivicual search suggestions from global search field suggestion dropdown list? (Suppose yes...) We could then have a context menu with at least: Add to Address Book / Edit contact Compose Message To Copy Email Address This might actually be not too hard for implementation...

I suppose it's possible.

> Pitrou, you want this for Global Search field (Ctrl+K), or Quick Filter Bar (ctrl+Shift+k), or both? My request was for the Global Search field. I like the Quick Filter but it doesn't sound adequate for something else than messages.
