Steps to reproduce:

-I am opening Thunderbird 31.0 Final
-Select the Inbox (where 3 POP3 Accounts are downloaded and stored into )
-Select/highlight the first Mail (or any other Mailbox or in a local folder ) in the Inbox
-Now I try to delete the Mail via the "delete key" on my keyboard and via the "delete button" in the Thunderbird UI


Actual results:

Nothing happened, no messages were deleted. They are still in the Inbox and they are left unchanged... Moving the mails to a folder works like a charm, deleting them in local folders, does not work, too.


Expected results:

The Mails should have been erased as always before...

Additional information:
-My account/profile has a size of 5.1GB and is in use since Thunderbird-Alpha hit the internet years ago.
-I have 2 Addons installed - a german dictionary and lightning, but the error is still present with these addons disabled.

Do you see anything in tools | error console when the delete fails?

Sorry - no - nothing in the error console, I already tried to figure out the error that way, but the console is empty.

I tried upgrading to Thunderbird 32.0 Beta 1 - Nothing changes, the deletion of mails is still not working, now I am back at 31.0 Final ! I tried exporting my Profile with Mozbackup, uninstalling Thunderbird and then a fresh reinstall, nothing changed. I tried Thunderbird under 3 different user Accounts, all of them with local administrator rights...

After the following steps the error-console pops some notifications:

1. Saved my profile using mozbackup
2. Uninstalled Thunderbird and deleted the folders that weren´t deleted automatically
3. Installed Thunderbird with default settings
4. Recovered my profile using mozbackup
5. Starting Thunderbird with all addons deactivated

Error console shows the following 4 entries:
