Hello Mail/News --

summary says it all. Up/Down keys should allow user to move cursor between
various recipient fields.

Also while you're at it, this relates to similar issue: #104722

-GA
additional -- just reference cursor movement in addressing pane in Messenger
v4x. -GA
QA Contact: sheelar → olgam
also referenced by the multiple keyboard-shortcut bugs -- specifically, #95844.

Thanks -GA

(any help on freedom from mouse would be greatly appreciated for "routine" send
of msg with multiple recipient list -- including combo. of to, cc, bcc)

Keyboard navigation issue is solved in the bug 95844.
Tab/Shift+Tab is used to navigate between fields.
Up/Down arrows are used to navigate inside the fields (to select To, CC, BCC)

Hello All -- While I greatly appreciate the work done to provide access to
"to-cc-bcc" field via command-line, I don't find the present functionality as
good as that of Communicator (Messenger v4x).

Please note while in Messenger 4x the tab/shift-tab puts in in "to-cc-bcc"
field, left-right selects the "to-cc-bcc" option, and "up-down" SCROLLS BETWEEN
ADDRESSING FIELDS (!!!!).

Thus, the Mess4x functionality allows end-user to quickly determine the
'to-cc-bcc' option for a large # of recepients. The present Mail/News
functionality requires much more time to execute the same task.

Just .02. If you use Mail/News to compose messages to large receipient list, I
find this limitation very frustrating (as a shortcut-key user). -GA

OK -- I apologize for not providing this feedback in bug #95844. It's
unfortunate the the existing keyboard navigation functionality for addressing
fields is not conducive for "power emailing" via command-line (personal opinion
only). It's my opinion that current solution makes a person want to use mouse
-- the exact opposite of the logic for kybrd nav.
Hello Again -- after 24hrs of reflection, I would propose that command-line
Mozilla user, by definition, already knows contents of most/all dialog drop-down
menus. From composition window, if tab/shift-tab places focus on 'to-cc-gcc'
field, the command-line user doesn't want to see the drop-down menu (because
already know what's in the menu). It makes logical sense the "left-right"
buttons would scroll through entries in "to-cc-bcc" menu.

Leave the drop down menus for mouse users. They only slow down command-line
users. -GA
I add 'for command-line users' at the end of the summary.
Summary: up/down arrow keys don't work in addressing field → up/down arrow keys don't work in addressing field for command-line users

The addressing widget is going away, so this is a wontfix.

please explain -- my only concern is whehter CLI end-user experience will suffer.

Thx -GA

Hey -- if this is being QA'ed, I would offer the comment I still prefer the
addressing field behavior of Communicator over that of Mail/News. The use of
Tab button _for_every_receipient_field_ is over-kill when specifying To,CC,BCC.

One tab click, left/right to determine to/cc/bcc, up/down to determine which
recipient. who ever made the decision to change this for Mail/News is
obviously _NOT_ a keyboard user.
