You cannot close the menu by clicking outside its window (as intented), rather the only way to close it is to click on the middle of 2 options (so nothing gets executed in the menu) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Right click on some flash section of a page 2.Click outside the flash options window Actual Results: Window does not dissapear Expected Results: Window should be dismissed

I've seen this, but all you have to do to dismiss the dialogue is left click on the flash image. If you click outside of the image the menu remains.

Not an option. Most flash images takes you to a link when clicking in them. Also, some right click menus on flash are only one line (check astalavista.box.sk) which makes them impossible to dismiss. Also, i think this is 4xp, so as you see i have more than enough reasons to file this bug

Works for me on Mozilla build 2001121303 on Windows ME. In the test case for bug 73020 http://www.planettribes.com/allyourbase/AYB2.swf I was able to dismiss Flash's contextual menu dialog with any of the following procedures: * click the status bar * drag from the context menu to anywhere outside the menu * press ESC on keyboard All three procedures worked. In addition, if a Flash movie is EMBEDded in a page, clicking elsewhere on the page dismisses the dialog. Test case: http://www.planettribes.com/allyourbase/video.shtml Reporter, does this occur in recent nightly builds? (Go to http://www.mozillaZine.org to find one that doesn't contain too many bad bugs.)

I forgot to say that .swf files directly loaded in the browser are dismissed fine. The problem is only in embedded html pages with flash, as the one you pointed out. This still happens for me on a just compiled cvs version. Remember this bug is linux only.

Any webpage that has an embedded .swf file in an .htm(l) file http://www.planettribes.com/allyourbase/video.shtml is one example Direct .swf files are easily dismissable. I am using linux, xfree 4.1, kde 2.2.2 http://astalavista.box.sk has an embedded .swf file, with the right-click flash info being just one line, so it is not dismissable by any means (multi-line info are dismissable by clicking in "cold spots" as explained in the bug description)
