Sounds like a regression of bug 592633

Do you still see this in an update, or the newer version 38? Are you using exchange?

Uff I'm on thunderbird 31.7.0 on ubuntu. But after a thunderbird restart, every new created imap folder appears. Sorry, I don't if this is exchange...
Flags: needinfo?(sebastian.endres)
Folders disappeared today shortly after I opened Thunderbird and it downloaded today's IMAP for GMail. I checked subscribed folders but I don't even have the option to subscribe except to the 4 base folders. Inbox, Junk, Trash, GMAIL>Junk. Refreshing the subscribe list does not provide the other folders.
Sorry I sorted problems by date and when I saw folders missing I didn't check the version or the OS. I'm on 38 for Windows.

Today I realized that I was missing a folder for a long time. Meanwhile I use Thunderbird 38.1.0 (on Fedora). The folder appears in the subscription dialogue but not elsewhere.

What about closing this issue, seems 1221038 is the main bug now. And the problem still exist in 45.7.0/Linux
