Summary says it all.
To Test, first Cut/Copy a chunk of text.
Mailgram including a hyper-link; rightmouse over the link & select "Copy Link
Location"
Go to the browser [specifically Bugzilla New Bug page] & try to Paste the link.
What pastes is the previous datum I had copied [plain text].

Mozilla 0.9.6, mail&news, Win98: If you highlight some text of an e-mail or
news message, right-click on it and select 'copy' in the context menu, the text
is not copied, i.e. if you try to paste it in another application, the text
which already was in the clipboar previously is pasted. If you use Ctrl+C
instead it works! This already happened in nightlies some weeks before the final
release of 0.9.6.
Is this the right bug to post this, or is this related? I didn't find a better
matching bug, but I could file a new one if this is really not filed anywhere
already.
This is quite annoying, you even could call it a 'dataloss', because sometimes I
think I have copied text from a news message in the clipboard, close the
message, and sometime later when I want to paste the text I realise it didn't
work, and I have to find the message again.

Newer, nominated approved bug...more current status for this (copy link
address/location) not working in standalone window. See bug 102561.
There is also existing bug(s) about context menu Copy (text)...
