Details

Bug 1099462 disables MediaCodec on PowerVR GPUs due to a performance limitation around texture creation. We should fix that by having a texture pool or something.

Yeah, need to do something here. I think it might be better to just disable the copying on PowerVR and live with the partially out of sync video frames. A proper fix is going to be complex (texture caching).
