Look at the following websites: <URL:http://www.vattenfall.com/> <URL:http://www.vattenfall.se/> <URL:http://www.veckorevyn.com/> <URL:http://www.greencargo.com/> <URL:http://www.bris.se/> (Huge Popup Warning!!!) They all have two things in common: 1) They don't work very well in Mozilla/Netscape 6. 2) They have been built by Framfab, <URL:http://www.framfab.se/>, a high-profile Swedish Internet company. I don't really care about each individual website, but I think we need to concentrate on the source of these problems, namely Framfab. IMO, Framfab needs to be subjected to some evangelism.
see bug 59692. I have contacted ikea about their framfab code and contacted framfab. No response from framfab yet. This company was founded in se but is now international with locations in several countries including the us. confirming since I have already seen problems with framfab code.

Per discussion on IRC, we are turning this into a meta tracking bug. If you find a site using FramFab code that does not work with Mozilla, please: 1. file an evangelism bug on the site. 2. make the bug block this bug so we can easliy track these issues 3. mark [TOOL][FRAMFAB] in the status whiteboard to allow us to run queries as well. Thank you, Christopher

Interesting tidbit: In the JavaScript Definitive Guide 4th edition by David Flanagan, Acknowledgements: "..The new material on the W3C DOM was reviewed by Phillipe Le Hegaret of the W3C, by Peter-Paul Koch, Head of Client-Side Programming at the Dutch Internet consultancy and creation company Netlinq Framfab (http://www.netlinqframfab.nl), .... Two of the reviewers maintain useful web sites about web design with the DOM. Peter-Paul's site is at http://www.xs4all.nl/~ppk/js/ " Perhaps Mr. Koch would be a good starting point! Updating the URL to point to the true homepage.

I'm resetting the URL to point to Framfab's Swedish branch, which is responsible for the problem sites mentioned in the original bug report.

caillon: following Mr Koch's e-mail, I restate that his web site (http://www.netlinqframfab.nl), is indeed Mozilla compatible AFAIK. I have asked to Mr Koch to help us evangelize other branches that may not be as respectful for standards as the Dutch branch. Accepting bug.
