seen with both 2001.11.30.06 commercial and a mozilla debug from this morning [linux, rh7.1]. i imagine, however, that this is cross-platform. anyhow, i spoke with akkana, who said that the publishing items should currently be disabled since the backend isn't ready yet. makes sense, at least with verification builds. this is what i see: a. File > Publish > Publish: first of all, why is there a single, redundant submenu here? for multiple servers or something else or is it unintentional. in any case, selecting this brings up a dialog with tabs for Publish and Settings. oh, and switching btwn the tabs resizes the dialog, which i don't think should happen from a ui pov... b. File > Publish As...: brings up the same dialog as (a). why? c. Edit > Publishing Site Settings: brings up a dialog for site settings. cc'ing lori to see if she knows of a UE/UI person who could lend some insight on these new features. :) let me know if you'd like me to spin off seperate bugs on the ui stuff i see.
This is silly. Yes, this is a work in progress and the UI is not hooked up to actual file publishing yet. It is a very complicated feature and we need to checkin in stages so UI is ready for Brade's core work. UE department has nothing to do with the publishing UI design. Please! No more bugs! If anyone else complains, dup it to this bug.

okay, i got email that publishing has now landed. my original observations for (a) and (b). are those STILL a work in progress? just wondering.
