User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20150125222326 Steps to reproduce: When I type a text in the compose window, from time to time (not for all emails), suddenly the cursor jumps to the upper home position, inserting typed text before the first word of the email. Actual results: When I look at what I type, I see letters / words are missing at the end of the text, they are inserted in the upper home position ! Expected results: The cursor must stay after the last letter typed.
Thanks and sure, the cursor should not jump around! We have two bugs on record for this issue (see see-also field). Yours is probably a duplicate of one of them.

Pierre, Do you still see this when using a newer version of Thunderbird?

I don't remember having had this problem in the last weeks (months) when using Thunderbird. Now I use Thunderbird 52.1.0 with Mageia Linux 5.1.
