Steps to reproduce:

tried to view in 3d mode in 'inspect element' view


Actual results:

no 3d button

should of been able to see and access 3d button

Are you using e10s?
Is 3D View enabled in the toolbox options (gear icon)?

I confirm this in Nightly 40 x64:
the '3d View' checkbox in the toolbox options (gear icon) 
only appears in a non-e10s window - it doesn't appear in a e10s window.

Also, in Firefox 37.0.2 stable, Beta 38b9 x64 and Dev39 x64, the '3d View' checkbox appears ok.
3D view is known to not work in e10s.
