User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0
Build ID: 20150401085108

Steps to reproduce:

The upgrade TB (Daily) from 39.1a1 to 40.0a1 failed to install Lightning 4.1a1 - was not compatible. I found Lightning 4.2a1 which states it is compatible with TB 40.0a1 and installed it on TB 40.0a1 - Restart required.

Actual results:

After the restart, Lightning failed to initialize and returned the following error:

"The binary component required for Lightning could not be loaded, likely because the wrong version combination is being used. You currently have Lightning 4.2a1 installed, but should be using a version from the 4.2 series."

I tried disabling Lightning and reinstalling it - no good. Then removed it and reinstalled it - no luck. Each restart results in the same error.

Expected results:

I reverted to the production(32bit) release TB 31.5 and Lightning 3.3.3 to get my calendar functional again.
Hardware: x86 → x86_64
I have the same problem with Earlybird 39.0a2 on Mac OS X.

Thunderbird Version: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/39.0a2

Lightning Version: 4.1a2
It works for me again since the last updates today (8. April 2015).

Thunderbird 39 (Earlybird) with Lightning 4.1a2 and
Thunderbird 40 (Daily) with Lightning 4.2a1
