I don't see a meta bug for this already, so I'm creating one for issues we've seen (although they may have the same root cause).

kats, do you know of any outstanding issues with position: fixed; elements in Fennec? I put a testcase in bug 1148391 that demonstrates a problem where we draw an element that's supposed to be fixed to the bottom of the screen too high:
