We had made an overall design to support both bug 1178273 and bug 1172881. Please see URL to have more information.
The currently design is to create an IAC protocol at music app. Vaani use IAC to open music app and tell it to play music.
There are two major works to complete this feature.
The first one is that we need to design a protocol between Vaani and Music app for communication. We will use IAC as communication channel and the format on schema.org for data exchange. The detail is described in [1].
The second part is that, according to Bug 1172875, when Music app is playing music, Vaani should shows a control widget on the layout.
