User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0 Build ID: 20150630154324 Steps to reproduce: Apply Any Theme (other then default) Actual results: When I apply (or preview) any theme (even a recent released one) Min/Max/Close buttons partially hidden behind the theme. The buttons are totally hidden by the theme in safe mode. The buttons show fine with the default theme. Expected results: Should be able to see the full buttons when a theme is used.
It's probably a dupe of bug 1089312 with Aero and theme. Could you type about:support and paste the section "graphics", please. The workaround is to use a different theme.

I've tried many themes all of them have the same problem. I tried disabling OMTC that didn't fix the problem. All my drivers are up to date.

I was testing earlier the only way to get the buttons to show fully with a theme applied is to show title bar. I like Firefox better without the title bar so I hope the issue can be fixed in the future.
I don't have Windows 10 yet to confirm. Are we supporting Windows 10 in Firefox 39?

Dawn, can you please provide me steps to reproduce from a default clean state? I've tried loading several themes and have not been able to reproduce this. (In reply to David Anderson [:dvander] from comment #5) > I don't have Windows 10 yet to confirm. Are we supporting Windows 10 in > Firefox 39? David, I believe the first version we plan to support in Windows 10 is Firefox 40. That is the first version with any Windows 10 specific changes (eg. theme integration).

I stumbled upon several rendering oddities while testing with the High Contrast #1 theme that ships with Windows 10. This screenshot shows comparisons between Firefox in various states. From top to bottom: 1. Nightly default Firefox theme and High Contrast #1 Windows theme 2. Nightly in Customization mode with the High Contrast #1 Windows theme applied 3. Thunderbird 38 with the default Thunderbird theme and High Contrast #1 Windows theme applied. (Firefox should probably look like this). 4. Thunderbird 38 after switching from High Contrast #1 to default Windows theme (notice rendering issue in tab strip and content) 5. Nightly 42 after switching from High Contrast #1 to default Windows theme (notice similar rendering issue to Thunderbird) 6. Nightly 42 with the titlebar enabled using the High Contrast #1 Windows theme 7. Windows Personalization window with the High Contrast #1 theme (illustrates how a Windows application is designed to work with the theme - probably a good baseline). Note the issues I've called out above seem to "fix" themselves if I restart the application. I'm not 100% sure that all of these are illustrative of this bug but I've added them here for reference. Dawn, this comment does not invalidate my previous request for steps to reproduce. I still need this information so I can precisely replicate what you are doing and therefore know that I'm seeing the same issue.
I'm not sure what you want as far as steps, but here is what I just did. (I'm running the default Windows 10 theme in windows) 1. I refreshed Firefox 39 to remove all add-ons & settings 2. Added a new theme: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/mareilhas/ The buttons are still hidden unless I show the title bar or use the default theme.

I think I'm getting confused with the ambiguity between Firefox themes and Windows themes. What Windows theme do you have applied? Also, the URL you provided in step 2 is 404.
The Windows Theme I have is under Windows Default Themes: Windows 10 (it comes with 10 I did not download it). Firefox theme: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tranquil-blue/ (altho I tried over 20 themes & they all block the buttons the same way)

I am unable to reproduce this with the default Windows 10 theme and the tranquil-blue Firefox theme. I tested with the latest Firefox Nightly though. Can you try the latest Nightly from https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and see if this still reproduces? You should also check the latest Beta from https://beta.mozilla.org/ since that's the first version we plan to support with Windows 10.
I installed the Nightly & the beta, the buttons work fine in both (without showing the title bar). Glad to see that 40.0 will fix the issue.
(In reply to Dawn from comment #12) > I installed the Nightly & the beta, the buttons work fine in both (without > showing the title bar). Glad to see that 40.0 will fix the issue. Thanks for checking, Dawn. You won't have to wait too long as I think Firefox 40 is a couple weeks away from release (August 11 if it remains on schedule). [Tracking Requested - why for this release]: nominating to track for awareness just in case this shows up in feedback reports. However I think this bug is WONTFIX.
