Using 2002010703 Wins trunk build on NT.

Addressing under Mail/News Account settings, the dropdown list to use a
different LDAP server displays empty list randomly.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Edit|Mail&News Account settings|Addressing
2. Click the second radio button, 'to use a different LDAP server'
3. Click the LDAP dropdown list to choose
4. Keep doing Step 3 and choose different one

This bug is problem with LDAP dropdown list and happens to all platforms.
Bug 127296 is dropdown box of the LDAP dropdown box list gets cut off and only
happens on MacOS X 10.1.2.

Both are regressions from 6.2.1.

Testing here it seems that this behavior has even greater flakiness. Sometimes
it works, sometimes it behaves as indicated, and sometimes (!!) there are for
me-three- blank choices, "None", "Yale LDAP" (the directory I have set up), and
a random directory whose origin I can't determine, which I subsquently have to
delete! (I have seen "WhoWhere Directory" and "Four11 Directory"; I assume
these are commercial directories from out there, somewhere.) I will try to
investigate more.

I am using a fresh profile, fresh install of 0.9.9 on Win98.

Changing platform to All (per comment 2; this would have helped a recent search
of mine quite a bit)

me: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311

grr. platform -> all for real this time
Hardware: PC → All
(sorry for the N comments everyone!)

A further case of flakiness: only "None" is displayed. So we now have four
cases, which seem to appear more or less randomly (again, "Yale LDAP" is our
LDAP directory here)
1. Works as intended.
2. ... or Yale... or the like (truncated names, but they're all there)
3. Only "None"
4. "None", "Yale LDAP", and a random directory (which seems to spring forth,
incidentally, from either here

Hope this helps.

This problem is getting worse. Never works as expected. 'netscape' directory is
displayed as ' ', '...' or 'n...'.

Nominating again !!
I agree with Yulian. Really nominating this time!
