Steps to reproduce:

Starting mach build to build, then mach run to run.

Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F27), 18412:e75d8116b09c, Xcode Version 7.0 (7A220)


Actual results:

At first, Daily shows “Would you like a new email address?” – the weel starts to spin around, then stops spinning. Daily hangs.

After killing it, and again mach run, it starts, the weel stops spinning, and it shows “gandi.net”.

Quitting normally, restarting with mach run, same hang again. Killing, restarting again with mach run, works again. The behaviour is reproducable.


Expected results:

It should start each time without hanging.

Does it work if you use daily build from https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly/2015/07/2015-07-13-03-02-07-comm-central/

Backing out the patch  https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/f600f0cd7bb3 may confirm whether this is related related to bug 1199957,  which has much more detail.  ref also bug 1204381

bug 1199957, so you should find that beta version and nightly build are working.
