User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 Build ID: 20150917150946 Steps to reproduce: Installed v42.0b1 (build 20150923035859) on an iMac runnning OS X 10.10.5, created new profile and set up two accounts (POP and IMAP). Tried to open the Add-ons manager via menu "Tools". Actual results: TB immediately became unresponsive, with the "beachball" turning and a CPU consumption > 100%. Had to force-quit TB since I could not quit normally via menu "Thunderbird" -> Quit. The same happens in a new "empty" profile (no accounts) upon opening the Add-ons manager. Expected results: The Add-ons manager should open without "freezing" Thunderbird. This problem does NOT happen in Earlybird 42.0a2.
see bug 1199957. perhaps this will turn out to be a dup of it

(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk, use Needinfo for questions) from comment #1) > see bug 1199957. perhaps this will turn out to be a dup of it Maybe not. Bug 1199957 happens in TB 42.0b1 AND Earlybird 42.0a2 (in the meantime I reproduced it with rss feeds) but I see this one only in TB 42.0b1
Confirming as I was able to reproduce on OS X 10.10.5 with newly created Thunderbird 42b1 profile.
