Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20151123030237 Steps to reproduce: Since some of the settings under "Clear private data" are toxic (lost all my saved logins, even the ones on the sync server) I want to configure them in advance so nothing bad will happen once I apply them. Actual results: After I close the "Clear private data view" the settings are lost. Expected results: The settings should be remembered even if you don't apply them.
Component: Untriaged → Data Storage
OS: Unspecified → iOS 9
Product: Firefox → Firefox for iOS
Hardware: Unspecified → ARM
Version: 45 Branch → unspecified
We've defaulted "Saved Logins" to not toggled in Firefox 1.3 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1224756) as it kept causing trouble for users with unexpected behaviour as you outlined (Bug 1202810, Bug 1221290). While we're addressing that core problem, we've had this bug as bug 1206730 and it was deemed WONTFIX. Should we wish to preserve the overrides we can open either this bug or the other again.
