Details

Bug 1227593 moved the sync engine to /shared so other apps different from the Sync app can use it. However, the shared code is still performing some Firefox Sync specific tasks like getting and decrypting the content of crypto/keys. We should try to abstract the sync engine in a way that is Firefox Sync agnostic.
