I commented about this in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1233032#c4 but am afraid it will get lost in the fray there.
This makes it particularly annoying to change the default profile and run in that newly selected default profile because if you do so, the previously used default profile is launched. You must shut down and restart the browser again to use the intended profile.

Even if we do the proposal in bug 1234765 comment 3 eventually, if this patch is ready now it would be a big help. It's crazy frustrating having to launch nightly, select a different profile, quit, and then relaunch again.
