baku, I don't think given the number of open issues here we should ship this new feature to aurora. 

Could you put the work behind an ifdef or a pref to keep it in nightly until it is ready to ship?  We could aim it at 47 rather than 46.  

Could we bring in UX to help with the interface design and behavior?

I still owe Baku an email with some better explanation of the specific UI issues (sorry for the delay).
UX is aware of the issue and happy to help, but also quite understaffed at the moment, so it might take a bit.

Since I assume that lots of people who use the profile manager right now are also using Nightly, please move this behind an about:config pref for now, so that we can do our due diligence in the design before replace people's profile switcher.
