It uses the "default" profile instead of the selected profile.

Confirming this issue with latest 46.0a1 (from 2016-01-10), under Windows 7 64-bit. Note that using the old ProfileManager it is also reproducible with 45.0a2 Developer Edition (bug 1098986), but *NOT* with 43.0.4RC and Firefox 44 beta 6.

I'd say this is finally working as expected, only the text needs to be changed to 'Use the default profile without asking at startup'. Otherwise setting the default profile wouldn't have any effect besides selecting it by default in the dialog. Use case: I want the profile manager not to be shown by default (i.e. Firefox should be started using the default profile when called without parameters), though I want to choose a different profile from it sometimes. Before, the default profile was changed with that option, which was unwanted. Sebastian
