User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Build ID: 20160105164030 Steps to reproduce: Start TB, click on the unified Inbox, move cursor down list of messages. Actual results: As I moved the cursor down the message list, the e-mails are "whited out" one by one as the cursor travels over them, so that nothing readable remains. This does not happen in the non-unified view. Expected results: The message titles and info should be visible.
See "Use Hardware Acceleration" at Tools | options | Advanced | General. If it is enabled, disable and restart. If it is disabled, enable and restart. better results?

Unfortunately, enabling/disabling this option does not appear to make any difference.

Just checked and found that the problem is still there in Thunderbird 38.6.0.
Please copy the video part of help | troubleshooting into this bug report. Do you see it also in version 45?

Try what was suggested in bug 1269272 comment #1, that is, delete "smart mailboxes" from your mail storage. That fixed it for the reporter of that bug and for me, when I had the same problem on my unified inbox a while ago.
