In Preferences, in the Smart Browsing pane, I select the Smart Browsing pane
under Navigator.
I check the box to turn on Automatically Complete text typed into Location Bar.
When I click the "Advanced" button, Mozzila quits "unexpectedly".
Every time.

Is this a crash? If so, did you file a talkback report? DO you have a talkback
ID or email address by which to search for the talkback report in our talkback
reports database? Thanks.

The answers are yes, no, and no. Unless by the third question you're referring
to a Bugzilla account. I did create on of those. I only got the Mozilla today,
and encountered the problem in the first 15 minutes of trying it out. What I saw
of the available downloads for Macs seemed to show that the talkback version was
not available for OS X.
I'll go take a look again.
I did search the Bugzilla database before sending my report, and found nothing.
I may not have done an exhaustive search, however.

There is no talkback for Mac OSX.
Reporter:
Do you have Netscape 6.x installed on your system ?
If yes: Can you try a new profile (run "mozilla -profilemanager")
If you still crash:
Can you turn on the crash log, that will allow you to post stack trace
to bug report:
1)from the Finder, open Applications/Utilities/Console
2)select menu Console/Preferences...
3)on the Console Preferences window, select tab Crashes
4)check both options (especially Automatically display crash logs)
Next time Mozilla crash, you will get a report.

Bill, does this happen only when using the classic theme? In that case it looks
like a dup of bug 108791. Are you sure that you're using build 2002020516?
This should have been fixed with 2002.02.04.17
Trying the Advanced button under mac os x Mozilla 20020204 everything works
fine. There is no crash, and autocompletion works. Hope this help.

Re: #3;
I turned on the Crash logging in Console, as you suggested. This crash doesn't
trigger anything.
I thought I must've done it wrong, but this morning IE crashed and Console
popped up and created a log, so it's apparently working.
After that happened, I repeated this process to make Mozilla crash and it still
doesn't generate a log file.
