Open a mailnews window. From there, open a task "navigator". Activate the sidebar with "view, sidebar". Then close it again through "view, sidebar". The second action has no effect, the sidebar is not closed again. You can only "hide" it by dragging the size to 0 px. A "collapsed=true" variable in localstore.rdf, <RDF:Description about="chrome://navigator/content/navigator.xul#sidebar-box" collapsed="true"> has no effect.
This may interfere with the depending bug # 109674 where sidebar doesnt show up at all when started from mailnews.
