The quicklaunch and notification icon should be in a seperate process so that when Mozilla crashes, it remains. There could be an application created called quicklaunch.exe in the bootstrap directory that does this, or possibly a DLL somehow loaded under a sepearte process.
duplicate of bug 121100?
Of course not. Take a look at the bottom of that bug. That bug was the reason I filed this one.

Are there any consequences to automatically reloading Quicklaunch? For instance, what if a config file (that Quicklaunch depends on) gets corrupted -- you'd have a loop. Can you identify any system process (besides the Windows EXPLORER.EXE) that automatically reloads after a crash? Basically, I'll be satisfied with bug 121100 being resolved, so that everything reloads correctly when manually restarted after a crash.
Quicklaunch wouldn't be automatically reloaded. It would be in a seperate process so that when Mozilla crashed, it wouldn't be affected. See also bug 143756. Taking this off the uncomfirmed radar. Please resolve it if you think it shouldn't be implemented.

keyword? (mozilla1.3,nscatfood) Related to or contradicts bug 138960?
You can have your cake (bug 127122) and eat it (bug 138960) too. Imagine two separate apps sharing a common library of routines a la bug 115348.

Quicklaunch/Turbo Mode is no longer supported in Seamonkey 2 and Seamonkey1.X is in the maintenance mode (fixing only security bugs)
