bug 1264637 has "first awareness", detailed description, and commitment to long term solution (bug 1264637 comment 10) bug 1271661 showed we need webops hands on to clean up issues in short term Until we get a solution, we'll need hands on from webops anytime we have to deploy an app, including hot fixes.
