I have set application/pdf to be handeled by Acrobat Reader in Preferences/Navigator/Helper Applications. But I dont get a dialog when I click on a application/pdf file, instead plugger.so handles the file. It seems that the mime/types of the installed plugins go over ther mime/types specified under preferences. The better way would be to list all file types under helper apps and let the user choose: [ ] handle by Plugin A [ ] handle by Plugin B [ ] save to disk [ ] open with application A [ ] open with application B
The current patch (work in progress) in bug 191198 allow helpers to overrule plugins. Resolving as dup. This is the same issue as in dup bug 95646. Related: bug 54940, bug 58811, bug 93122 and more. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 19118 ***
