User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a search folder (messages bigger than 5Mb, for example)
2) Open that folder, select one message
3) Delete the attachment, confirm
Thunderbird 45.2.0 (Ubuntu 16.04)
IMAP account to Zimbra Server
Attaching IMAP log for both scenarios.
Actual results:
A new message is created on the original folder, without the big attachment.
The old email (with the attachment) is still there, both the original folder and, obviously, the search folder.
Expected results:
The big message should have disappeared.
Note: If I do the deletion from the original folder (not the search one), the operation works.

Do you still see this problem when using a current version?

It's still happening in Thunderbird 52.7.0 (ubuntu 16.04)
The original message is still present, with a new one without the attachment.
