User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.122 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/1.5.618.8

Steps to reproduce:

My mail provider changed its server certificate, so that I had to accept a new certificate for my mail account.

Actual results:

Everything in Seamonkey was slow for the next 2 days, also browsing was slow.

SM is not always displaying its current task but tt seems that SM is reloading every mail, displaying things like "downloading message 300 of 5300".

Sometimes you are not even able to send mails, getting error messages like "operation failed, because another task is using this folder."

Scrolling within the websites works like on a 10 year old computer, unless you switch to the offline mode. In this case scrolling is smooth again since mail download is stopped.

Expected results:

The one question is if it is really necesary that everything will be reloaded after the change of the certificate.

The other thing is: Why is it possible nowadays and with multicore CPUs, that downloading all the mails makes browsing nearly impossible?
Summary: Seamonkey slooow after mailserver changed its certificate → busy mail account blocks browser and other mailnews accounts
I split this one in three Bugs.

This one is for blocking the browser, aka. missing multi-processing or at least separating mailnews into a separate process. Something which is rather a performance improvement than a bug, and might be something that is never going to happen.
