User Story
As Mozilla, we want to message XP/Vista users 3 months prior to the final XP/Vista end of life so that they are aware and can take appropriate action. We will load a new SUMO page for the user at a specified time which conveys the end of life information. (around July, 2017) Here is the link to be used in the product: https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/%VERSION%/%OS%/%LOCALE%/xp-eol

Michelle, we'll need copy for this message as well.
While message 1 (Bug #1315153) was to tell the user there will be no new features, this message is to tell users that all updates (including security updates) will stop on a certain date (TBD in mid 2017), again linking to a blog post.

For reference, Chrome's message was: "This computer will soon stop receiving Google Chrome updates because Windows XP and Windows Vista will no longer supported".

> Specific copy from mheubusch: "In <insert month/year here>, Firefox will end
> all support for Windows XP and Vista. Learn how this affects your online
> security and why you should upgrade"
"should upgrade" is ambiguous. Should the user upgrade their operating system (how?) or their browser?
The last sentence also needs a period.
"should upgrade" is ambiguous, but that is ok for this link as it is really more of a call to action to link to the blog post - the blog post tells why both the OS and the browser need to be updated. Also, everything from Learn how . . . to upgrade is a single link, so it doesn't take terminal punctuation.

We discussed this offline and the new plan is to simply load a URL in a new tab to a SUMO page. We'll provide the URL for that shortly. The SUMO page will describe the information to be conveyed to the user instead of using an InfoBar.

The next ESR has moved from 59 to 60, so ESR 52 will have one extra release (52.9) on 2018-07-03. This will push our XP EOL messages back by one release.

ESR 52.8, the second-to-last ESR 52 version, will be released on May 9.

Tracking this for ESR 52.8.0 - should there be a WNP for this?

So as I understand it from discussion with Chris, this would be a WNP setup and it will show the user a tab after update that pulls in the content of the localized SUMO page mentioned in the User Story.
We are waiting on info from pdol and mconnor to decide if we need to do this for 52.8, but if we miss 52.8 we can still show this to users in any following 52.8.x releases or in 52.9.

We're going to defer this WNP to either the 52.8.Xesr if there's a dot release that isn't security driven, or, to 52.9.0esr.

WONTFIX because we missed the deadline to submit a WNP for ESR 52.8. We will push the "this is your last update" WNP to XP/Vista users with ESR 52.9 (bug 1319164).
