Actions of message filters should be displayed in the status bar.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Define message filters
2. Get messages

Actual Results:
Receiving Message 1 of 3
Receiving Message 2 of 3
Receiving Message 3 of 3
-> There is one new message in Inbox and another one in Local Folders/joe. The
third one is vanished.

Expected Results:
Receiving Message 1 of 3
Filter joe: Moving Message 1 to Local Folders/joe
Receiving Message 2 of 3
Filter spam: Deleting Message 2
Receiving Message 3 of 3

or even better a small window which shows the filters' log and can be
deactivated in preferences.
Sounds like a good idea.

Marking NEW, changing Platform and OS to All and changing summary from "Message
filter does not show activity" to "Actions of message filters should be

overkill and WONTFIX IMO, especially given that we have filter log.

however, actions that don't complete, or for some reason fail WOULD be nice to see in status bar. See more below.

How about a ("consolidated") visual indicator (text + green, yellow, red) in status bar that a "error level" failure occurred in some area of the product. Then, intelligent, clickable menu in status bar activity log allowing you to go to affected area of product - eg console log, filter log, junk log, protocol log, etc.
