User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0 Build ID: 20161129173726 Steps to reproduce: Just send an email. Actual results: I found this problem on-line and as a result un-checked the box "Place a copy in" under "Copies & Folders". This appeared to fix the problem initially but came back almost immediately. Thunderbird Beta 50.0b3 Expected results: Just get 1 copy in the sent folder.
Yes, there are problems with "Place a copy in", see bug 279366. Can you elaborate on: "This appeared to fix the problem initially but came back almost immediately." This option is not set by default. So why was it set and the first place, and after you switched it off, how did it get switched on again? Also, can you try to disable all add-ons, see Help menu.
Hi, I did not set this option. I don't know how it was turned on. After I turned it off, I only got one copy for a short time (about a day) then started getting 2 copies again. The option was and is STILL turned off. However, a restart with plugs ins disabled has fixed the problem. I have since restared again and the problem has not re-appeared. I have a snap of all plug ins and extensions but although there are quite a few, only 1 plug in and 1 extension are enabled. They are "Lightning - Integrated calendar and scheduling for your Email client" and Shockwave Flash 23.0.r0
